If you playing Urban Terror under Ubuntu or another linux using Pulseaudio, you can easily get tired by problems with sound in game. The solution is really easy – just install this package: libsdl1.2debian-pulseaudio (aptitude install libsdl1.2debian-pulseaudio) and everything works like a charm.

Jestli hrajete Urban Terror pod Ubuntu nebo jiným linuxem používajícím Pulseaudio, snad vás můžou unavit problém se zvukem ve hře. Řešení je velice jednoduché – jenom nainstalujte balíček libsdl1.2debian-pulseaudio (aptitude install libsdl1.2debian-pulseaudio) a všechno funguje jako po másle.

Ubuntu 9.10 is here! Thats good news for every Ubuntu user i quess. You can get Ubuntu 9.10 here and give it a try.

But there was few bugs which affected my hardware. So there was two problems:

1. Cracking sound – caused by turning on and off sound card hardware – the problem is very annoying, but solution is easy. I found the answere at this Launchpad Question.

Ubuntu 9.10 je tady! To je dobrá zpráva pro všechny Ubuntu uživatele předpokládám. Můžete si stáhnout Ubuntu 9.10 a vyzkoušet ho.

Na druhou stranu je zde pořád pár bugů, které ovlivňují můj hardware. Rád bych se s Vámi podělil o jejich řešení. Měl jsem tyto dva problémy:

1. Praskající zvuk – způsobený vypínáním a zapínám hardware zvukové karty – tento problem byl obzvláště iritující, ale řešení je jednoduché. Našel jsem odpověď v této Launchpad Otázce.

Staží vložit

at the end /etc/modprobe.d/modprobe.conf (create if there isnt this file) and in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf change

na konec /etc/modprobe.d/modprobe.conf (vytvořte soubor pokud neexistuje) a v /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf změňte

to

. Then reboot your computer and thats it.

. Potom restartujte počítač a to je všechno.

2. Nvidia settings – if you have Nvidia hardware and configure it with nvidia-settings application, it failed to save /etc/X11/xorg.conf file because error in this program which supose you have this row

2. Nvidia settings – jestliže máte Nvidia hardware a konfigurujete ho pomocí aplikace nvidia-settings, tak aplikace selže při ukládání /etc/X11/xorg.conf protože chyba v tomto programu předpokládá že máte tento řádek

in Section “Screen” in your default xorg.conf file. Just put

v Section “Screen” ve vašem výchozím xorg.conf souboru. Jen vložte

after Indentifier row in Section “Screen”. Then you can save configuration file created by nvidia-settings application.

Enjoy your Ubuntu 9.10.

za řádku Indentifier v Section “Screen”. Potom budete moct uložit konfiguraci vytvořenou pomocí nvidia-settings.

Užívejte Ubuntu 9.10

After 2 months in Windows Vista, i maked decision going back to my current most favourite operating system – Ubuntu. I can’t stand the behavior of Windows, and their philosophy either. So im back in Ubuntu, and saying “No more Windows”. Especialy on my PC.

Po dvou měsících ve Windows Vista, jsem se rozhodl že se vrátím ke svému v současné době nejoblíbenějšímu operačnímu systému – Ubuntu. Nemůžu vystát chování Windows, ani jejich filozofii. Takže  se vracím zpátky k Ubuntu, a říkám “Windows nikdy více”. Hlavně ne na mém PC.
